Welcome to Omwana's Village

We are just a group of fellow foster moms who have been there, who get it! And we want to help! 

Omwana's Village is a nonprofit clothing closet serving Lincoln and Pike Counties. When a foster family says "Yes" to bringing a child into their home it is a whirlwind of emotions and activity. It can be very overwhelming! Our goal is to make that transition a little easier. We are hoping to be able to provide new and gently used (Clean!) clothing, shoes and other necessities that a child needs, for FREE. We are so excited to be able to help, not only in this way, but we are hopeful that this organization will be able to offer the emotional and physical support that foster families so desperately need! We are hoping for one of us to be able to reach out not only when a child comes into care, but also when a family member related to a child steps in as a kinship placement and ALSO if there is a family that is struggling, to be able to keep that disruption from even happening in the first place!
